Body Discovered in Search for Missing Cheshire Jogger Rachel Booth

A body has been found in the search for missing mother-of-three Rachel Booth, who disappeared during an early-morning jog in Cheshire. The 38-year-old from Barnton was last seen on Saturday, July 19, around 3:50 a.m. at a Shell petrol station in Sandiway, approximately seven miles from her home. She had purchased milk and wine before setting out on her run.

Following her disappearance, Cheshire Police launched an extensive search operation, including the deployment of sniffer dogs and underwater search teams. The search focused on Delamere Lake and the near Wild Shore Delamere water sports park. On Monday, July 21, police confirmed the recovery of a body from a lake in Oakmere, believed to be Rachel Booth. Formal identification is pending, and her family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.

Authorities have stated that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, and a file will be prepared for the coroner. The Wild Shore Delamere water park was temporarily closed to assist with the investigation, though the incident is believed to be unrelated to the facility.

Rachel Booth was described local residents as a friendly and active woman. One shopkeeper referred to her as “a lovely clever lady,” and another described her as “very active and very nice.” She was affectionately remembered as a devoted mother to “three gorgeous boys” and a loving wife.

The community has expressed deep sadness at the news, with many offering condolences to her family during this difficult time. The Sun
